First of all, thanks to all of you who commented on my last post and wished me a happy birthday. I really appreciated it. :)
Secondly, I got Lily Allen's new album "It's Not Me, It's You" thanks to
miss_ania last week and omg, I am totally in love. So amazing. "Fuck You" and "Who'd Have Known" are my two faves from it so far. Has anyone else noticed how many awesome artists are releasing CDs this year? Kelly Clarkson's new CD comes out in March, Depeche Mode in April, Tori Amos is rumored to be putting one out in May and the Pet Shop Boys have a new album coming out sometime too. My wallet is going to explode from the concert and music purchases, 4srs.
And now, at the request of
rising_mercury I thought I'd post about the week since my birthday. I really need to start writing regular entries again, haha.
- Tuesday (February 3): I woke up for my birthday, where I had to go to the courthouse to take care of a ticket I got. (it's a long story, I'll write an entry about it tomorrow or something). After finishing I went to Best Buy, where I bought the "Blossom" seasons 1 and 2 box set (lolol) and then stopped for lunch at Wendy's. After heading home to watch the Blossom box set, Jason called and came over to hang out. We watched some eps of Blossom, then later grabbed dinner at TGI Fridays before heading back to my apartment. We went to Goody's, this little old-fashioned candy store in Hyde Park for desert - I was gonna get a shake, but decided to get a chocolate egg cream. Bad idea, it was awful-tasting. :( I dumped it out and went home, where I did the usual loafing around the rest of the night. At least I didn't work that day.
( the rest of the week )
The remainder of this week should be pretty cool. I have to go pay my rent tomorrow (10 days past due, yikes >.>), then I'm off Thursday to concentrate on apartment hunting. Also, Alix and I decided that Saturday night we're gonna say screw it to traditional Valentines' Day and have an 80s night with some of her friends. We're gonna dress in 80s costumes and go clubbing... should be tons of fun!! :D
